Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) Screening:
On-Line Learning Programs for Healthcare Workers

Healthcare workers have the opportunity to become part of a community-wide response to violence against partners. This on-line learning program takes you through some basic information to raise your awareness, sensitivity and skills in addressing partner violence (also called domestic violence, partner abuse). It will not teach you everything you need to know to practice safely in your community, but we believe it is a good beginning.

This on-line learning program is free. A registration log-in process is provided to allow you to enter and exit the program at your convenience. And when you have visited all the pages, you will be able to print out a certificate of completion.

Two programs are available. The original program was developed in the United States for emergency nurses. A new edition has been developed addressing screening by healthcare workers in Aotearoa New Zealand. Please select one of the links below.
